Gazzetta n. 47 del 19 giugno 2012 (vai al sommario) IMT - ALTI STUDI LUCCA CONCORSO   (scad. 31 agosto 2012) Avviso di indizione di una procedura di valutazione comparativa per la copertura di una posizione di Post-Doctoral Fellow. Si rende noto che, con il Decreto Direttoriale n. DD 02187(153).VII.5.04.06.12 presso la Scuola IMT Alti Studi, Lucca, istituto statale di istruzione universitaria di alta formazione dottorale con ordinamento speciale, e' stata indetta una procedura di valutazione comparativa per una posizione di Post-Doctoral Fellow con le seguenti specifiche: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Model Predictive Control - 1 posizione. Fields: Control, Optimization. Formal Requirements: Possession of an undergraduate degree in a related field. Activity: Research, tutorship and mentoring of the Institute's Ph.D. students, limited teaching and participation in the development of the Institute's research activities. Research Area: Computer Science and Applications. Research unit: DYSCO - Dynamical Systems, Control and Optimization. Specific Requirements: A Ph.D. in Control Systems or equivalent is preferable. Strong control-theoretical background, expertise in optimization (theory and algorithms), optimization-based control and strong skills in computer programming (preferably MATLAB). Experience on power systems, energy markets or water networks will be considered as a plus although it is not required. The main tasks of the successful candidate willbe to formulate models and devise efficient stochastic Model Predictive Control (MPC) algorithms for real-time operational control of drinking water networks. Apart from the duties within the project, the successful candidate will conduct research in collaboration with the researchers and PhD students of the group in topics such as real-time and distributed optimization and stochastic MPC. Candidates must have an excellent track record of high-impact international publications and an excellent level of both written and spoken English is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for performing applied research in an interdisciplinary Research Unit.
